Purna Vidya: Ramayana Text Book

Purna Vidya is a twelve year program designed to provide a structured and developmentally based teaching of Vedic tradition and culture to children. It consists of teaching materials, assignments, lesson plans, and fun filled exercises. Ramayana Text Book, the 3rd of 12 parts describes the life of Shri Rama in text and illustrations. It is meant as a text book for children's use. In addition to the story of the life of Sri Rama, it contains games and fun filled work exercises for children. It is accompanied by 'Guidelines for teaching Ramayana' available as a separate book. The Guidelines are for adults to teach this text with a well defined syllabus which can be utilized in classroom, group or individual basis. The Guidelines also include answer keys to exercises in the Text book along with a Ramayana Play, a lesson plan and bibliography.

Bhagavat Purana Text Book (Volume 4)

Purna Vidya is a twelve year program designed to provide a structured and developmentally based teaching of Vedic tradition and culture to children. It consists of teaching materials, assignments, lesson plans, and fun filled exercises. It is very comprehensive and includes a wide range of subject matter. The subject matter selected is based on the developmental and chronological age of a child such that the concepts are well within their grasp. Purna Vidya curriculum is used in several schools and communities in many countries. Bhagavata Purana Text Book, the fourth of twelve parts describes the lives of many devotees, kings and sages such as Dhruva, Harischandra, Markandeya, Sakuntala and so on. It also describes the ten avataras. The book has age related fun filled exercises and games for children that foster understanding and memory. The text book is accompanied by a separate book, ‘Guidelines for teaching Bhagavata Purana’ meant for adults to teach this text with a well defined syllabus which can be utilized in classroom, group or individual basis. The Guidelines also includes keys to exercises in the text book, and additional teaching material.

Purna Vidya is a twelve year program designed to provide a structured and developmentally based teaching of Vedic tradition and culture to children. It consists of teaching materials, assignments, lesson plans, and fun filled exercises. It is very comprehensive and includes a wide range of subject matter. The subject matter selected is based on the developmental and chronological age of a child such that the concepts are well within their grasp. Mahabharata Text Book, the fifth of twelve parts portrays this great Indian epic in simple and methodical lessons highlighting the important events in Mahabharata. The stories are accompanied by beautiful illustrations that can be used for coloring by children. Values Text Book, the sixth of twelve parts introduces and explores in details the role and develops an understanding of Values, also known as Dharma, in the Vedic tradition. More than being taught what is right and wrong, it is important to grasp the reasoning behind moral values. Only then is a person able to truly assimilate moral values and live by them without a sense of guilt, a feeling of being coerced, or a fear of retribution. Individual Values such as Truthfulness, Not hurting others, Respect, Straightforwardness, Friendliness and many other Universal values are analyzed. Also discussed are pitfalls of reactions such as Envy, Anger, Greed and so on. A sensitivity to life and environment is presented and encouraged.
